And She's Off! {Post by Halli}

As you can imagine, it has been a crazy couple of days!  Last night, before Taylor was set apart as a missionary, we went to dinner at one of Taylor's favorite restaurants, Abuelos...

This morning, we got up super early to head to the airport.  We have been praying for this for many months so we weren't expecting the goodbye's to be so hard.  Needless to say, it's been an emotional couple of days for all of us (especially for me).  But, we know she is where she is supposed to be and will have an amazing experience!
{Lauren & Taylor say their good-bye's}

It turns out that a friend of ours from church was on the same flight to Salt Lake City as her.  So, he took her to lunch and then to the MTC so she would not have to wait for the shuttle.  He also let her use his cell phone so she could call and let us know she made it safe and was headed to the MTC.  One of the things that was so upsetting to me, was sending her without any form of communication, so that was very comforting to know she made it and had help with her luggage (all 125 lbs of it!)

She was able to email us when she arrived at the MTC...

"Hey guys!  I just got to the MTC about an hour ago and I haven't had the time to feel anything but overwhelmed so I am not sure how to feel.

I don't have much time to write now so I'll just let you know that I made it safe and things seem to be going well. Apparently we are going to spend 6 hours studying language or something like that. I think my head will hurt by the end of that!  Anyways, I have one companion so far and she seems nice so everything should go well.
I will message you guys when I can, I love you! Have a great week :)"

I am now sobbing again . . .this is wonderfully hard.
